Situational Awareness LP (“SALP”) is a San Francisco based hedge fund that invests in companies involved in the development of artificial intelligence (“AI”) technology and in companies where AI may have a positive or negative impact. SALP formulates a macro picture of AI development through rigorous research on technological developments and economic analysis. This perspective informs our search to identify winners and those companies that, we believe, will be disrupted by AI development.
Situational Awareness was founded by Leopold Aschenbrenner in 2024. Mr. Aschenbrenner has a background in mathematics, statistics and economics.
